Alfresco living is what Southern California is all about, so it’s no surprise that when it comes to home décor, everyone is bringing the inside out. But this trend is going way beyond the requisite outdoor fireplaces, sound systems and luxe lounges-backyard style has gone downright glam. “Replicating your most luxurious rooms inside can easily transfer outdoors-all it takes is a little imagination,” says Melissa Arnold, who owns the just-opened Inside Out Home and Garden in Laguna Beach. The store is a model for Arnold’s concept; there are no borders between the store’s backroom, which opens to a garden area with a tented pavilion filled with vintage stained glass windows and chandeliers. Meanwhile, DNA in Little Italy has just added the hotter-than-thou Spanish line Gandiablasco to its line-up of fierce outdoor furnishings.
